Cap on residential aged care places to remain

Despite recommendations from the Aged Care Sector Committee, the Federal Government has ruled out the full deregulation of residential aged care places. Assistant Minister for Aged Care, Ken Wyatt, recently stated that the cap on aged care beds ensures rural and remote providers can maintain the care of elderly Australians.
