Care workforce requires greater emotional support

It has been revealed that workers in jobs involving emotional labour – such as nurses and other caring roles – are more likely to require treatment for stress-related conditions. The University of Sydney study also revealed that workers that experience emotional labour take more sick days and change jobs more frequently.
