Companion robot helping aged care residents with dementia

A companion robot in the shape of a baby harp seal is helping reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety in aged care residents with dementia. PARO, a therapeutic robot designed in Japan, has inbuilt sensors that respond to touch, sound, light, temperature and posture.
