Court rules against additional service fees

The Federal Court of Australia has declared that residential aged care providers cannot charge additional service fees that are known as ‘asset replacement charges’ or ‘capital refurbishment fees’. The Department of Health has published information on these fees, including a list of additional service fees that cannot be charged by providers.
