Government announces 17,500 aged care places to be delivered

Following the conclusion of the 2014 Aged Care Approvals Round (ACAR), the Federal Government has announced that $833 million worth of aged care places will be created across Australia. Assistant Minister for Social Services, Mitch Fifield, said that over 17,500 beds will be delivered following the highest round of residential aged care places sought through ACAR since 2007.
