The Australian Law Reform Commission has called on the Federal Government to implement recommendations from their report into elder abuse, including the compulsory reporting by aged care providers of alleged abuse. One of the other key recommendations is the introduction a national registry of enduring powers of attorney so that financial planners, doctors and other professionals can check the validity of documents.
