To achieve the goal of providing an integrated aged, disability and community care solution, iCareHealth, TCM and ComCare have combined under the guidance of Telstra Health. Led by iCareHealth Managing Director, Chris Gray, Telstra Health’s Aged, Disability and Community Care (ADCC) division is dedicated to delivering intuitive software solutions to providers; from small businesses to national, multi-sector organisations.

iCareHealth’s residential aged care solution, Clinical, Care and Medication Management, will continue to be enhanced in line with provider needs. Community and disability providers will benefit from a new and improved software system, bringing together the best parts of TCM, ComCare and iCareHealth’s Home Care Manager software. Work has already begun on this project, with the team identifying the most effective components of each system. This will allow all clients to continue to utilise their existing software with the same dedicated team and support systems.

The aged, disability and community care sectors are changing, with the introduction of Consumer Directed Care (CDC) driving community providers to put consumer choice at the front of their business model. CDC has now begun to impact the residential aged care sector, with providers recognising the importance of person-led care in a competitive market. Mergers and consolidation are also having an impact across the sector, with smaller providers joining forces and larger organisations growing to provide services across the disability and aged care continuum. Telstra Health recognises these changes, and understands that providers need a scalable, intuitive software solution to meet their changing needs. Telstra Health have prioritised the integration of community, aged and disability software, meaning providers will have records for a consumer at every stage of their journey – without losing valuable clinical data.

Telstra Health acquired iCareHealth in 2014, and clients have since benefited from the same dedicated iCareHealth team, with the financial backing of one of Australia’s largest organisations. These resources have enabled iCareHealth to deliver enhancements to clients sooner, and further develop our extensive product roadmap. The creation of Telstra Health’s Aged, Disability and Community Care division has created a broad service offering for aged, disability and community care providers across Australia. Not only will Telstra Health offer a fully integrated system, this move represents a push towards an intuitive, modular system to suit all providers’ needs.
