Male care workers on the rise

The aged care and disability support sector is attracting more male workers, in part due to the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). As a result of the NDIS, care recipients have more control in seeking out workers of their preferred gender, driving many men to enter the care workforce.
