Mental health warning for aged care providers

Providers have been encouraged to deliver mental health awareness training to staff, as the Australian Bureau of Statistics reveals men aged 85 and over have the highest rates of suicide. National mental health charity, beyondblue, has developed the Professional Education to Aged Care (PEAC) program to educate staff on how to identify signs of depression and anxiety.
