New eHealth body to be subject to Freedom of Information Act

The Department of Health has revealed that the National E-Health Transition Authority’s (NEHTA) successor – the new Australian Digital Health Agency – will be subject to the Freedom of Information Act. This move is designed to hold the new body to account, and ensure national eHealth data is revealed in a timely manner.
