Residential aged care program sees reduction in hospital admissions

A residential aged care pilot program that works to identify clinical deterioration in residents has seen a 50 per cent reduction in hospital admissions. The program took place at a PresCare facility, and used a ‘traffic light’ system to detect and treat the most common causes of hospitalisation.
