Rural providers competing with government Multi-Purpose Services

Some rural residential aged care providers have complained that they are competing with government funded Multi-Purpose Services (MPS), as they do not have the same financial requirements for residents. MPSs were designed to provide care for communities without appropriate services, however some MPSs are operating in close proximity of existing aged care providers.
