Services delaying aged care entry

Research has revealed that older Australians accessing community care services are less likely to permanently enter residential aged care. Researchers from the Australian Institute of Health Innovation at Macquarie University found that each additional hour of community care service received each week reduced an individual’s likelihood of entry into residential aged care by 6 per cent.
