Staff encouraged to promote regular eating in older people

A dietician working in the aged care sector has spoken about the need for care staff to encourage residents and consumers to eat regularly in order to promote appetite. Ngaire Hobbins explained that despite some worker’s perceptions, elderly people require greater quantities of protein and other nutrients than younger people.
