Telehealth trial significantly reduces hospital admissions

A CSIRO study has found that telehealth has the potential to save $3 billion annually, with study participants experiencing a 36 per cent decrease in hospital admissions throughout the 12 month trial. The study reported that over 500,000 Australians over the aged of 65 who live in their own homes would benefit from telehealth services.
