Virtual reality provides welcome distraction
Virtual reality is being used to help minimise the pain and discomfort experienced by aged care recipients during painful procedures, such as wound dressing. By providing a calming visual distraction – such as an underwater scene – virtual reality is also helping to reduce patient movement during procedures.
