Wages under the spotlight in Senate inquiry

A Senate Inquiry into the residential aged care workforce has heard about the impact of wages on care worker engagement and retention levels. Providers have told the inquiry that low Commonwealth funding levels have had a direct impact on their ability to pay care workers above the minimum wage.
